The Rodriguez Family
Reverend Joshua Rodriguez is a passionate follower of Jesus. He came to faith in high school through a small country church in Marion, Indiana where he is from. He has been part of churches from several denominations, but found a home in the reformed tradition during seminary. After graduating from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2010, he received his Master of Divinity and M.A. from Princeton Theological in 2015. In between college and seminary, Josh served First Presbyterian Church in Montrose Colorado. It was in that congregation that Josh joined the Presbyterian church and the Western Slope Presbytery nurtured Josh’s call to be an ordained minister of word and sacrament in the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. Following seminary, Josh worked as a Director of Outreach at FPC Nashville and then was ordained in 2017; receiving a call to serve as the Associate Pastor for Young Adult Ministry at FPC Nashville. Josh would say his greatest joy at FPC Nashville has been serving the whole community, watching them grow in their love for Jesus and their commitment to life together as the faith family. Josh lovingly shares life with his beautiful bride of 11 years, Abigail, and their two children – a son and a daughter. Abigail is self-employed as a certified Enneagram Teacher and Stress Coach where she partners with people as they try to make sense of their lives and invites them to take on a posture of curiosity about themselves and others. Abbi and Josh’s oldest son Jameson is seven years old, and will begin first grade this fall. Jameson has a ton of passion and a tender heart. He loves Taekwondo and exploring the outdoors. His teachers have said that he has a “strong internal world” and he loves to enact what God has curated in his imagination. Jameson loves to ask big questions about God and rarely misses an opportunity to enact scripture. Everly is four years old and she is a wonderful mix of spunk and sweetness. She loves to wear “something fancy” but she never lets it slow her down. She spends most of her days trying to keep up with her brother as she drags her blanket and a bag packed full of toys behind her! Everly loves her friends deeply, and during prayer time, she always makes sure to pray for them. |
